Hollywood Gossip | New poster and images for THE TEMPEST with Helen Mirren
How many goodly creatures are there here! Our favorite GILF Helen Mirren will be pulling all the stops to her acting ability as she will be a part of THE TEMPEST, Julie Taymor's second attempt at making the trippiest William Shakespeare film adaptation. For starters, the first major tweak is that Prospero will be Prospera which will be the character that Mirren plays (I have a hunch she will also be portraying the humanization of "the tempest" in some scenes). Whether you think ill of those of us who love Mirren you can't deny she's a wonderful actress and besides, she IS very pretty, especially when you stop and think about her age. Ask any woman if they'd like to look like her when they're older and the answers will usually be positive.
The film will also star Russell Brand, Chris Cooper, David Strathairn, Ben Whishaw, Alan Cumming, Djimon Hounsou and Alfred Molina. I am totally loving that cast. Consider me hyped for THE TEMPEST, not only will we be seeing some interesting visuals from Taymore but the inclusion of the sexy Helen Mirren is nothing short of genius. It's enough reason to make me want to see it.
